He tried all of your suggestion--pellets and peanuts and hoses with either water or car exhaust, traps and a few devices that must have been designed by Torquemada himself--with varying degrees of success. (The tailpipe trick did work well.) But you didn't mention the solution which gave him the greatest degree of success. Back in the day, he bought quite a few small, cheap radios, and dropped them into the holes after tuning them to KSHE. Yes, it really worked.<br /><br />The best mole remover was our first Mastiff bitch, Maili. She could dig faster than they could, flip them out of the ground and snap them in half. Unfortunately, her digging did more damage than the moles, and the yard ended up looking like a WWI no man's land.
